Every year in June around 20.000 motorbike fans meet in the quiet and picturesque village of Neukirchen in Salzburg – better known as „Newchurch“ during this time – for the now legendary motorbike meet.

The Großglockner high alpine road

The famous high alpine road is a unique experience for motorbike lovers and takes you through the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park to the highest mountain in Austria, the Großglockner (3.798 m), and the Pasterze Glacier. The alpine road is one of the most popular destinations in Austria. On 48 kilometres of high alpine road with 36 hair pin bends and a 2.504m ascent, the nature and riding experience is a special one! You cross through a unique mountain range with flowering high pastures, fragrant mountain forests, majestic rocks and eternal ice to the foot of the Großglockner.
